Vegas Towing Service Jump-start Services

You roll out of bed in a fury. You overslept and are sure to be late for work. You rush getting ready, grab a quick protein bar to eat in the car, and jump in, hoping you can make up time during the commute. You stick your key in and turn it….nothing. Okay, you check to be sure the car is in park and nothing else is awry, and they car still will not start. You swear because you have a presentation this morning, and of course, you have a dead battery.

It always seems like everything that can go wrong will go wrong at the worst possible moment, Murphy’s Law. Today is no different, and you could have really used a better start. Now you have to figure out how you are going to get to work.

Getting jumpstarts from your neighbors has become challenging because they all leave for you before you. You wish you had listened to the advice you had been given about getting an emergency jump box, but now it is too late. You guess it is time to call someone who will probably take hours to finally come and help you, and you are likely going to miss that meeting.

Stop worrying and call Tow Truck Henderson. We have a large network of tow trucks that service the entire area 24 hours a day, with someone who will not be far away.

Tips To Avoid Dead Batteries

While the occasional dead battery cannot be completely avoided, there are some things that you can do to be sure it does not happen frequently.

  1. Be sure all of your lights are off. While this seems obvious, most dead batteries are still caused by people leaving on either headlights or interior dome lights. Double check to be sure they have all been turned off.
  2. Unplug all charging accessories. This is quickly gaining on the lights in terms of dead batteries. Be sure to unplug everything that may be plugged into your charging ports. While it should take quite a draw through those ports to drain your battery, if you have multiple things plugged into multiple ports, or one thing that is a high voltage consumer, you may have an unpleasant surprise.
  3. Have your batter checked regularly. You can usually have it checked free of charge at an auto parts store. Be sure to check it if you notice your car is slow to start one morning, or your accessories start behaving oddly. This is a simple and fast visit, and could save you from the dreaded dead battery morning.
  4. Inspect your battery regularly. You want to look for any corrosion on the posts, which could prevent a solid connection and leave you with what acts like a dead battery. Also, look for any bulging in the battery housing, which could indicate an aged battery that is ready to fail.
  5. Keep an eye on the age of your battery. Most car batteries will last three to five years. So once you get close to that age, plan to have the battery tested every three to four months, just to be sure you stay ahead of any unwanted dead battery episodes.
